Pepsin 1:10,000 powder is an endopeptidase that breaks down proteins into smaller peptides. Pepsin is applied in the hydrolysis of proteins. Pepsin 1:10,000 serves in protein proteolysis to cleave aromatic amino acids like phenylalanine and tyrosine from the N–terminus of proteins. A suitable lactose is added to adjust the enzyme activity to that specified.
